    Job Description

    The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) invites applications for the role of Coordinator, Marketing and Communications. This role reports to the Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives.

    The Coordinator, Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies and plans that support the goals of the School of Medicine and the University. The Coordinator will be a collaborative driver of the broader strategy within UNR Med in coordination with the University's Office of Marketing and Communications and the marketing team at Renown Health, our largest affiliate partner. The position coordinates digital communications, social media, web content, media relations, story writing, print and other marketing services. The position will provide mentorship to a Specialist, Marketing and Communications; tactical assignments will be spread between the positions.

    UNR Med seeks a professional with experience designing and implementing marketing and communication strategies to increase stakeholder engagement and to move the organization in new directions. This is an exciting opportunity to assess current strategies, recommend and implement new approaches, and to engage in new and efficient ways of telling our story to a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to drive strategy with creativity and innovation, analytics, and team collaboration.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience OR

    Master's Degree and one year of related work experience

    Related Experience:

    market-based and/or journalistic writing, media and/or public relations, strategic marketing and/or communications, website development

    Coordinator, Marketing Communications: $68,000 – $76,000 annually

    Total Compensation

    The total compensation package includes a competitive salary, moving allowance (if applicable), a rich retirement plan, health insurance options that include dental and vision, life insurance, thirty (30) days of sick leave provided upon start date and two (2) days of sick leave accrued per full month after the first year of service, two (2) days of annual leave accrued each full month, along with many other benefits.
