    Our mission at Guide is to help more people fall in love with their work.     We're a small team of generalists hiring Engineer #3. We hire slow and strive to maximize our impact with limited resources. We take an iterative approach to shipping value, then build solutions that scale when we've built conviction through actual usage. We do our best to eliminate the things that make work suck, building leverage for ourselves and our teammates and focusing on the fun part (delivering delight to customers).

    What you'll do

  • Shape the future of interviewing with first principles thinking on a decades-old process
  • Ship value to our users daily.
  • Build and deliver full-stack user-facing features, working closely with product and design team to define scope and priorities.
  • Scale our product, adapting our current solutions to keep up with a rapidly growing user base.
  • Proactively identify and solution ways to level up our product and our codebase.
  • Propose architecture and designs in order to bring big projects to life. Deliver on these projects in the order of days/weeks, not weeks/months.

    Tech stack

  • Language: TypeScript across our stack for maintainability and reliability.
  • Frontend: NextJS for our web framework, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Ariakit for accessible UI components.
  • Backend: GraphQL/Prisma and Postgres
  • Rich Text Editing: Lexical rich text editor for advanced text handling.
  • Job Queue Management: Asynchronous task queues with BullMQ deployed on AWS
