    SUMMARY:
    The Mayor's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency.

    OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor's expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.

    The Personnel Management & Administration (PMA) is OMB's central services department.

    It is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing programs to meet the needs of OMB personnel and for providing timely and efficient services to OMB employees.

    Within PMA, the Budget Administration Unit is responsible for OMB's operating budget, accounts payables and managerial Flextime and Lump sum payout.


    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    The intern will lead the following project under general supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgement:

    • Reconcile purchase orders, payments and reimbursements in database.
    • Assist with budget allocation and track agency's expenditures.
    • Prepare analytical reports and provide backup documentations on budgetary and for audit purpose as needed.
    • Evaluate managerial timekeeping data, transfer between systems and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Analyze and calculate Managerial Leave banks, FlexTime and Lump sum payout.
    • Assist in building reports that can be used as management tool.
    • Assist and followup on FMS Security master list log, forms submission & profile update
    • Assist supervisor with Special Projects as needed.
    Qualifications

    Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school.
