Job Description

Summary/objective:

The Warren Village United Airlines Early Learning Center caters to children aged 6 weeks to 11 years in a top-notch early learning environment. The Learning Center holds a Colorado Shines 5 Star quality recognition. Teaching teams create a supportive environment that promotes holistic child development. There is a focus on teacher training and implementation of Conscious Discipline®, a program that equips teachers to address children's social and emotional needs. The Director oversees all educational programming and operations at the Learning Center.

This role is part of the Executive Team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Program:

Oversees implementation of core curricula and daily routines
Collaborates with administrative and teaching teams to enhance parent involvement
Acts as an advocate during tours and speaking engagements for Warren Village
Coordinates with Family Services Staff on family-related issues
Uses evaluations to enhance family support and Learning Center quality
Maintains Colorado Shines 5-star quality standards

Staff:

Recruits, interviews, and hires Learning Center staff
Manages internal communication effectively
Handles team conflicts to foster growth
Supervises and mentors staff in collaboration with administrative team
Conducts performance assessments and goal setting
Ensures compliance with personnel policies and procedures

Administration:

Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and contracts
Administers operational records and procedures
Reports on departmental goals within the Strategic Framework
Participates in Executive Management Team activities
Oversees consultants and coaches
Ensures staff are trained in emergency procedures
Facilitates family and staff events
