    Job Summary

    Responsible for the research, development, planning, design, maintenance and implementation of policies and programs that enhance the organization's relations with the community, the public, governmental and regulatory authorities, shareholders and employees.

    Collaborates with the VP and broader EA organization to deliver effective communications and advocacy to support Comcast's business initiatives. Support effective relationships with third parties. Influences and shapes and integrates strategy for functional area(s).
    Job Description
    Core Responsibilities

    • Develops and implements strategy for government affairs and public policy issues for Comcast service area in Missouri and Kansas, as well as strategy for local regulatory initiatives.
    • Provides strategic leadership and direction for the External Affairs team that encourages and embraces diversity of thought and drives change with projects and activities.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with third party group such as businesses groups and economic development groups that are beneficial to the company.
    • Support Region growth initiatives including grant applications and compliance initiatives.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with government representatives and regulators at the federal, state and local level. Travels to attend meetings, hearings, or other events to represent the company.
    • Works directly with public relations team to develop effective internal and external communications strategies to enhance the organization's relations.
    • Creates, implements and achieves realistic, aggressive goals to align with corporate affairs policies and strategies.
    • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
    • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Bachelor's Degree

    While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
