Job Description

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Paraprofessionals for full-time roles with school districts in the LaPlace, Louisiana area for the upcoming school year. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic and social development within the school setting.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a paraprofessional training program or at least two years of college coursework (Associate's degree or higher preferred)
Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics (testing may be required)
Compliance with all local and state requirements for paraprofessional certification (e.g., background checks, fingerprinting, etc.)

Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance
Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, and playgrounds
Reinforce positive behavior and help manage classroom discipline
Assist with classroom materials and equipment preparation
Accompany students to and from specialized classes, therapies, or other activities as needed
Support students with special needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all school policies and procedures
