- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on public health issues related to HIV/AIDS, utilizing statistical and data analysis tools to derive insights that inform policy and program decisions.
- Develop and implement research methodologies, surveys, and studies to collect reliable data on disease trends, risk factors, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and public health officials to design and evaluate interventions aimed at disease prevention and control.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences to disseminate knowledge and best practices.
- Engage with community stakeholders and public health partners to gather insights and promote public health initiatives.
- Contribute to grant writing and funding proposals to secure resources for ongoing and new research projects.
- PhD or Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health research with a strong focus on infectious diseases, preferably HIV/AIDS.
- Demonstrated ability to use quantitative and qualitative research methods effectively.
- Proven track record of published research and contributions to the public health field.
- Experience working within government health agencies or major health organizations.
- Involvement in large-scale public health studies and interventions.
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or similar credentials that validate expertise in public health research.

Client Information:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) focus on high impact prevention of HIV-by preventing new HIV infections, improving health outcomes for persons with HIV, and reducing HIV related disparities and health inequities.
DHP develops and maintains a variety of data and information systems to support its mission, including systems to collect, transmit, store, and analyze data for HIV/AIDS surveillance, epidemiology, and program monitoring and evaluation.
We are looking for IT and public health partners including statisticians, researchers, behavioral scientists, computer scientists, public health advisors/analysts, budget analysts, and other program staff.
