DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (PARKS)
SEASONAL SECURITY/MAINTENANCE PERSON
$17.00 per hour
Description of Duties Under the direction of the Parks Division Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the staff member will be responsible for the following:
Unlock and lock all gates at the Pierce Filed Sport Complex;
Maintain and cleanup the grounds and trash barrels;
Maintain and clean restrooms;
Put away equipment and supplies at end of each shift;
Turn lights on and off for scheduled events;
Maintain office and any other complex building in an orderly and clean fashion;
Report any wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities;
Answer any questions and customer service any group or individual that are using the Complex;
Inspect the grounds daily for any damage to property and or cleaning of debris or trash;
Performs any other duties as required and or assigned
May be asked to write incident reports of any circumstance worth noting; Minimum Qualifications High School graduate and or GED; 18 years of age, Must be able to speak, write and comprehend English; Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds; Ability to walk around, Ability to confront any user of the complex and bring any wrongdoing to their attention

Preferred Qualifications:
Security/public safety experience
General maintenance/custodial experience
Ability to speak another language preferred
