    Job Description
    This semiconductor company in Malacca is seeking a Product Development Engineer.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Responsible for new product development or project of new products and to provide engineering support for existing products concurrent with the company's goal.

    Coordinate activities related to NPD and NPI.

    Coordinate activities related to the development of new processes.

    Spearhead all new equipment transfer related projects.

    Benchmark and innovate current processes and manufacturing system.

    Coordinate activities related to introduction of new direct materials.

    Innovate and participate in cost savings projects.

    Participate in design and execution of engineering evaluations/experiments as well as data acquisition and report generations.

    Liaison with Package Development Engineers/QA/Process in resolving issues related to product performance, QA and reliability.

    Communicate with Marketing/Customers on NPD/Characterization issues & to fulfill timeline and reliability requirements.

    Coordination on engineering samples for customer.

    Provide engineering support to production as need arises.

    Provide engineering support to customers field application as need arises.

    Upkeep engineering Lab Test/Characterization equipment.

    Coordinate the initiation of PPCN for changes on product specifications or material substitution.


    Skills & Experience Required:
    Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical).

    Minimum - 5 years relevant experience in semiconductor field.

    Experience in semiconductor package design, advance packaging experience, and Assembly process is preferred.

    Experience with AutoCAD (2D or 3D) is desirable.
