- Assist with design, facilitation, and on-going delivery of NAFCC's virtual and in-person training & professional development programs (NAFCC accreditation, and Leaders Shaping Leaders Fellows' Program curriculum facilitation).
- Facilitate four accreditation trainings per year (Quality Ambassador and Observer training)
- Update the contents of NAFCC accreditation trainings.
- Provide support for other accreditation trainings as needed.
- Assist with reviewing conference accreditation training submissions (QAT AND QOT) as needed.
- Develop and/or implement at least four design curricula per year based on needs identified within the family child care (home-setting) community; Support FCC educators in developing professional development.
- Assist with updating NAFCC Elevate (LMS) PD Academy e-learning platform.
- Assist with maintaining pertinent programs records, forms, and documents etc.
- Assist with supporting trainers/presenters on gathering necessary materials for webinars, trainings, and the annual conference.
- Complete monthly reports.
- Assist with developing a schedule, and implementation of marketing and training/course calendar.
- Assist with sending out translation materials in multiple languages.
- Interact with the LMS and ensure all training courses are entered on time and updated as required.
- Participate in discussions between cross collaborative teams.'
- Responding to Family Child Care professionals in a timely manner preferably within 48 hours of receiving message

- Collaborate with Coordinating the LSL (Leaders Shaping Leaders) fellowship program working with NAFCC professional development specialist, and NAFCC partners, sending out communication correspondence, and assisting with LSL interview process etc.
- Responsible for offering ongoing mentorship to LSL alumni.
- Perform ad hoc projects and meet all deliverables as assigned.
- Assist with coordination of speaker selections and educational tracks with appropriate parties.
- Assist with preparation of on-site conference program book and content.
- Assist with preparation of conference online content if required.
- Assist in solicitation of conference advertising & sponsorships.
- Assist with coordinating CEUs (Continuing Education Units) registration and post-evaluation surveys.
- Assist staff in coordination of pre-conference logistics (signs, plaques, badges, and registration packet materials, etc.).
- Design & tabulate conference evaluation forms.
- Assist with marketing for NAFCC annual conference.
- Assist in all other conference areas, as necessary.

- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Bachelor required).

- Knowledge of National Accreditation standards and assessment tools including the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC). and the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA), Council on Accreditation (COA),
- Knowledge of state, and federal regulations, Quality Rated system, and Environment Rating Scales.
- State Funded Pre-K system and/or universal Pre-K. Have a working knowledge of LMS systems (preferred).

SUMMARY
The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high quality child care by strengthening the profession of family child care for nearly one million paid home-based early learning programs serving almost 40% of the 6.7 million children who receive care from a nonrelative on a regular basis. Since 1982, NAFCC has been supporting family child care throughout the country as educators make the intentional professional choice to offer high quality early care and education in their homes. Their mission Is to support and leverage a nationwide network of educational professionals in expanding and promoting the power of family child care by (1) engaging and developing a diverse membership base of FCC educators; (2) Increasing the number of FCC educators accredited for meeting the highest standards for home-based early care and education; and (3) being a national leader elevating the voice of FCC.
NAFCC operates as a high-touch, high-impact organization. Therefore, sustaining effective, caring, and confidential relationships with other staff, and with people in our network, is essential. Timely follow-through builds and sustains trust within our network.
The Training Specialist plays a key role on the professional development team. The Training Specialist ensures NAFCC has streamlined, consistent communication with FCC professionals, accreditation cohorts, leaders shaping leaders' fellows' cohorts, and including PD Academy facilitators. The Training Specialist will be the main Leaders Shaping Leaders Fellows' Program Facilitator and responsible for facilitating our NAFCC accreditation ambassador, and observer training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the Director of Professional Development, the Training Specialist performs a variety of specialized and technical processes and procedures in support of programs and services administered through the Professional Development Department.
