    POSITION TITLE: Facilities Clerk

    REPORTS TO: VP, Facilities

    PAY GRADE: 5

    DEPARTMENT: Facilities

    FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

    LOCATION: In-Office

    What success looks like during the first three months


    • Accurately distributes incoming correspondence


    • Correctly processes inbound and outbound shipping requests


    • Displays an ability to maintain Credit Union grounds according to established norms


    • Consistently punctual and present for work at established start and stop times


    • Competent in the Credit Union organization and department structures

    PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to fulfill Financial Center First CU's vision of inspiring financial wellness. The position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members by supporting and promoting our values to Care, Listen, Learn, Solve, and Act.

    The Facilities Clerk's primary objective is to perform the daily operational, administrative and support functions of the Facilities Department. These functions include, but are not limited to mail processing, grounds maintenance, clerical duties, and general maintenance tasks that positively impact the professional image of Financial Center's facilities.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


    • Coordinates supply orders and deliveries


    • Assists with U.S. and interoffice mail pick-up, delivery and distribution


    • Performs general maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, installing banners, moving furniture and miscellaneous repairs


    • Routinely patrols facilities and grounds, ensuring only the highest-level cleanliness, order and maintenance


    • Performs administrative tasks such as document filing, assisting vendors/guests, coordinating appointments and meetings, providing general support to Facilities and Credit Union employees.


    • Assists in facility projects as assigned


    • Performs other duties as commensurate to this position

    REQUIRED BACKGROUND:


    • High School diploma or equivalent


    • Minimum two years of similar or related experience is preferred


    • Valid driver's license


    • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision; displays initiative, innovation and creativity and strong sense of urgency


    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to be resourceful, perceptive and persuasive when solving problems. Displays, diplomacy, patience and tact when dealing with members and staff.


    • Must be able to achieve proficiency on Microsoft Office products and Credit Union Systems, PowerPoint, Word within 90 days in the position

    ADA REQUIREMENTS

    Physical Requirements

    Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 3-4 hours per day, when necessary. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

    Working Conditions

    Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outside in various degrees of heat and cold.

    Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

    Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
