- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience (60% Frontend | 40% Backend)
- Experience with one or more general purpose languages, e.g. Go, Java, Python, Javascript
- Strong experience with React or similar frontend languages.

- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS
- Interest and ability to learn other languages as needed.

The team
The Route Engineering team develops next-generation technologies that change how millions of consumers see, share, and discover the world's most innovative brands and products. The opportunity
Route is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Resolve Team. As part of a team providing claim resolution and improvements for both our merchants and customers, we are looking for engineers who can not only tackle tough technical problems but also collaborate and evangelize best practices across teams. We value engineers who can bring fresh ideas and are willing to solve problems all the way to a solution. We need our engineers to be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup culture where there is a tremendous opportunity and the change that comes with it. As an engineer on the Resolve team, you will be focused on claim resolution and working on all levels of the technical stack including frontend, backend services and infrastructure. The team is taking on new and exciting initiatives that enable us to scale faster, and improve observability in our systems.

Pay Transparency
Salary for this role: $158,400 - $171,000
The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
