If you're one of the best and brightest, a highly-motivated innovator, a fast worker, and a fierce competitor, you might be just the person we're looking for Entrata's Development department is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in our Lehi, UT Headquarters. As part of our Development team, you will act as a technical advisor, team leader, coder, and evangelist. Our Software Engineers lay out basic code architecture for the offshore development team, taking ownership of projects and seeing them across the finish line, and advocating for the latest tools, technologies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Solve technical problems by working closely with Development Managers, UX, Product Managers, and offshore teams
Reviews and corrects code for quality and design through constant evaluation of product code and getting involved in complicated or sensitive code
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Manage the delicate balance between implementation complexity, time to market and scalability
Team oriented, willingness to standardize code and architecture
Mastery over database and code architecture best practices. Teaches all other engineers best architectural and coding practices, as per company coding standards.

Minimum Qualifications

3-5+ years of development experience with PHP, Java, C# or other similar languages
SQL queries and database schema design experience
3+ years of experience in performance optimization, debugging and unit testing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science
Experience in Payment Processing or ACH Payments
Experience with AWS
Experience with transitioning from an older monolith to modern microservices
