We are primarily an onsite company, and request that employees spend a majority of their week in our Lehi, UT office.

About the role:

As a Software Engineer at Leland, you will directly contribute to our core marketplace offering and drive product development alongside a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with product, design, and other engineers to build Leland's marketplace product

Build and maintain foundational pieces of Leland's infrastructure

Propose innovative ideas and shape a product that will surprise and delight customers and drive business results

Write high-quality, performant code

Ensure product quality through comprehensive testing and rigorous code reviews

Contribute to our team culture by fostering an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment

Qualifications:

Proven track record:
You have 5+ years of experience as a frontend, backend or full-stack software engineer at a leading technology company

Self starter:
You are ambitious and take initiative, and thrive in environments with minimal supervision

Not ideological about technology :
You have opinions and preferences, but can learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs

High standards:
You take pride in your work and are highly accountable

Strong communicator:
You communicate nuanced ideas clearly; you are empathetic in disagreements, and thoughtfully consider other perspectives

Build the team:
You enjoy collaborating with both fellow engineers and cross-functional partners; you are a lifelong learner and invest in your own growth, but also the growth, learning, and development of your teammates

Nice to haves:
Frontend engineers experienced with modern frontend technologies like React, , TypeScript, and GraphQL

Backend engineers with experience building API driven, Java-enabled backend services

Experience building iOS/Android applications

Experience working in startup environments
