    Job Description

    Position Overview:

    The Director of Program Support plays a crucial role in CISNC's Network Support Team, overseeing the development and delivery of support for staff implementing the CIS Model. Collaborating with the Director of Network Training, the Director of Program Support provides professional development and ongoing support to CISNC and affiliate school-based staff, ensuring fidelity to the CIS Model for the betterment of student outcomes.


    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure programmatic quality and adherence to CIS Model standards through consistent communication with site staff and leadership, hosting professional development sessions/calls, reviewing Communities In Schools Data Management system (CISDM) reports, and reporting progress to Executive Directors.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new Student Support Specialists, including training sessions.
    • Support the coordination and execution of retreats for CIS Program Directors.
    • Enhance staff competencies and program quality by utilizing the CIS Model fidelity rubric and conducting site visits/walkthroughs.
    • Provide continuous training and support to ensure accurate data entry into CISDM.
    • Oversee all reaccreditation requirements for student support standards.
    • Assist in the development and facilitation of in-person, webinar, multimedia, and other distance education training sessions as needed.
    • Organize and lead webinars on a regular basis to aid Student Support Specialists in developing mission-critical competencies.
    • Manage internal and external training resources for site staff.
    • Establish connections between school-based staff and state/national office resources.
    • Approximately 50% job travel to various locations.
    • Perform additional duties to ensure successful program operations as assigned.
    • Ability to conduct training sessions with proficiency in verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and technology.

    Necessary Skills:

    • Superior verbal and written communication skills
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in technology for programming development and evaluation.
    • Skilled in office technology systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, and Microsoft Applications.

    Required Education/Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or public administration required. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

    Experience in school or community-based organizations with knowledge of the CIS Model.

    Passion and commitment to diverse students, families, and communities.
