    Full job description:

    CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER

    • Oversee all compliance functions, such as monitoring, risk assessment, and reporting, to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, effectively managing inquiries, examinations, and related communications.
    • Coordinate day-to-day BSA/AML and OFAC compliance by maintaining an adequate Compliance Department staff in terms of quantity and qualifications.
    • Manage all aspects of the BSA/AML and OFAC compliance program, including identifying weaknesses and taking corrective actions in collaboration with senior management.
    • Ensure adherence to BSA/AML & OFAC regulations at the Branch level and interact with regulators as needed.
    • Conduct and lead the BSA/AML and Sanctions Training Program, providing guidance and training to staff on compliance matters.
    • Report directly to Head Office on the BSA/AML and Sanctions Program of the Los Angeles Branch.
    • Develop and implement BSA/AML and Sanctions compliance policies and procedures.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and update policies and procedures accordingly.
    • Oversee annual BSA/AML and Sanctions risk assessments.
    • Investigate any compliance issues or violations and provide guidance to employees.
    • File necessary reports such as SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports) and OFAC reports.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years experience in compliance roles within the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
    • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of banking laws, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

    Pay:

    $80,000 - $120,000.00 per year
