- Conduct internal audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
- Develop audit programs and testing procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions
- Communicate audit results to management and provide recommendations for improvement
- Follow up on audit findings to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal audit policies and procedures
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in internal auditing and healthcare compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credential preferred
- 2+ years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in pubic accounting or in the internal audit practice within a publicly traded organization
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, generally accepted accounting principles, and SOX compliancerequirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must reside in the Raleigh area and be willing to work in an office setting

Senior Internal AuditorWe are working with a large publicly traded company in the Raleigh area who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to join their team. The Senior Internal Auditor will play a key role in conducting internal audits, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, US GAAP, SOX testing, and possess a CPA credential.
