- Interface with customer tooling groups, purchasing, engineering, and other customer disciplines.
- Interface with internal departments and manufacturing facilities.
- Provide support to all members of the Commercial Team in order to effectively and efficiently serve the customer.
- Support Program Management and Engineering to this end, within the boundaries of the Commercial Team role.
- Support the production quote process.
- Tooling cost collection (including submission of tool records to customers).
- Process prototype & miscellaneous orders and provide follow up to customer on delivery as required.
- Track the receipt of all prototype, production piece price & tooling purchase orders and process through TI internal system.
- Support Commercial Team activities such as cost recovery, MTP, etc.
- Support Engineering change process as required.
- Administer and troubleshoot OEM User ID's and passwords.
- Attend internal and customer meetings as required.
- Assist accounting in the resolution of unpaid invoices.
- Maintain daily contact with customer web-sites to download RFQ's, Purchase Orders and all TI-relevant data.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of customer supplier databases helpful.
- Must posses the ability to set priorities.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and/or direction.
- No supervisory duties.
- Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Two year degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing or general business.
- Valid driver's license.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to travel to meetings, plants, and customers if required.
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 10 pounds.
- Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
