    CookUnity is a chef-to-you marketplace connecting talented chefs with consumers, revolutionizing meal delivery. We bring small-batch, restaurant-quality meals to eaters nationwide, crafted by a diverse collective of all-star chefs. With over 100 inspired chefs from cities like NYC, LA, Austin, and more, our weekly subscription offers a wide range of hand-crafted meals to cater to various palates and dietary preferences.

    By delivering over 1 million meals per month, we're also empowering working chefs, tripling their income, and supporting their growth. CookUnity believes in fueling stronger communities, partnering with Food Bank For New York City to combat food insecurity across all five boroughs.

    The role:

    We seek a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager, with an Entrepreneurial mindset to lead our sales efforts and drive the achievement of revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record of successful sales management, and a deep understanding of the sales process. This role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and the ability to create a new business into the existing business line, offering B2B services to our potential clients.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Sales Strategy:
      • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that reflect an entrepreneurial approach to identifying and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities.
      • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
      • Identify new opportunities for business development and expansion, demonstrating resilience in navigating market challenges.
    2. Performance Monitoring:
      • Track and analyze sales metrics with an entrepreneurial mindset, adapting strategies based on real-time data.
      • Implement effective sales forecasting and reporting systems.
      • Take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded, showcasing resilience in the pursuit of goals.
    3. Client Relationship Management:
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners, approaching challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit.
      • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional activities.
      • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and demonstrate resilience in addressing any issues promptly.
    4. Budget Management:
      • Develop and manage the sales department budget with an entrepreneurial focus on resource optimization.
      • Provide regular reports on budget performance and recommend adjustments as necessary.
    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, demonstrating entrepreneurial thinking to contribute to overall business success.
      • Provide insights and feedback to contribute to product and service enhancements.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
    • At least 5 year of proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role.
    • Strong understanding of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team to achieve targets.
    • Results-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction and relationship building.
    • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
    • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and resilience in the face of challenges.

    Requirements:
    • Proficiency in negotiating, structuring, and successfully closing deals.
    • Adept at traveling up to 50% of the time for supplier engagement, conferences, and representing CookUnity.
    • Experience in food procurement and extensive food knowledge

    Compensation All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.Pay Range for this position$100,000—$150,000 USD
