Summary of PositionResponsibilities:
Enterprise Strategy
- Support the AVP of DEI on implementation on DEI strategies designed to advance the EmblemHealth family of companies.
- Manage the consultation process with the HRBPs team across the business by collaborating and developing action plans for the specific to business functions.
- Build, maintain, and enhance interdepartmental relationships to help determine the needs of departments.
- Monitor and consult on diversity data with business partners and business leaders.
- Drive initiatives that activate our DEI pillars, including the design, development, and implementation.
- Continuously gather and analyze feedback (30/60/90 day and beyond) to monitor progress towards defined success metrics and consistency across departments.
- Manage in partnership with the AVP relationship with Talent Acquisition pipeline initiatives.
- Assist in project management; provide technical and other needed support to AVP as needed.
- Support engagement and development programs for the organization such as a Sponsorship Program and Speaker Series.
- Collaborate with leadership and crossfunctional teams to create and drive employee engagement programs/initiatives.
- Harness existing best practices within the enterprise and externally to drive a cultural shift.
- Identify and utilize tools designed to improve engagement metrics; analyze data to determine which engagement techniques are succeeding and which ones need to be revamped.
- Utilize feedback on existing programs, policies, processes, and procedures to identify potential "pain points" and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations on how to build employee morale and improve engagement and retention.
- Proactively mitigate any issues, staying abreast of emerging trends within the organization.
- Identify and analyze employee concerns, issues, and potential/actual bottlenecks that impede successful outcomes.
- Partner with AVP and Talent Management on ongoing cultural audits.
- Collaborate with L&D to build leadership and management capability and understanding of DEI.
- Partner with AVP and L&D to build leadership and management capability and understanding of DEI.
- Connect with Strategic Communications side of the team on management level communication solutions and needs.
- Collaborate with DEI team members on ERG events and determine business integration and topics.
- Manage the development and execution of DEI community programs which support L&D and Talent Acquisition goals.
- Manage DEI partnerships such as 100 Black Men, Diversity Best Practices, etc.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed DEI into our supplier and community initiatives.
- Support Inclusion Council special projects and work.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Marketing to ensure positioning as a thought leader in the space.
- Colead Awards and Recognition plans such as Working Mother, etc.
- Partners with other stakeholder groups as needed.
- Provide support for special communications, internal events, and operational initiatives that are critical to senior leadership as necessary.
- Attend DEI and community events as needed.
- Present on DEI topics, internal updates and at Council meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Communication, Marketing, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in work focused on internal and external DEI and culture work (required)
- Health care experience or a passion for learning about the industry (required)
- Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and serve as a champion of cultural competency (required)
- Strong facilitation, presentation, written/verbal communication skills, and experience working with crossfunctional teams (required)
- Ability to problem solve and work autonomously (required)
- Experience working in a matrix organization (required)
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and remain agile in a high performing atmosphere (required)
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with competing deadlines (required)
- Ability to forge new partnerships that bridge people and organizations (required)
- Highly organized and detailoriented, with the ability to see the big picture as well as the small details (required)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound business acumen and strategic judgement (required)
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) (required)
- Familiarity with social media platforms, video conferencing services, and project management software (required)
- Strong team player, innovator, selfstarter with an entrepreneurial mindset (required)
