    Senior Corporate Counsel at Vertafore

    Based in Denver, Colorado, Vertafore has offices throughout the U.S., Canada, and India.

    About the Job:

    • Provide strategic legal services directly and with external counsel, specializing in intellectual property protection, contract negotiation, employment law, risk management, and dispute resolution.
    • Collaborate with the General Counsel to develop and implement effective business solutions.
    • Manage legal matters related to intellectual property, IT, sales, compliance, and more.

    Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

    • Advise on regulatory and compliance issues.
    • Manage employment matters.
    • Lead privacy and compliance initiatives.
    • Support in intellectual property management.
    • Direct legal aspects of partnership programs and technology sales agreements.
    • Collaborate with legal teams and external parties.
    • Drive projects and enhance business processes.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Extensive experience in software law, intellectual property, corporate governance, and more.
    • High level of professionalism and business acumen.
    • Detail-oriented and proactive.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Problem-solving mindset and ability to mentor.

    Qualifications:

    • Licensed attorney with at least 7 years of combined top law firm and/or in-house experience.
    • Previous exposure to software and professional services industries.

    Additional Requirements and Details:

    • Travel occasionally required.
    • Office-based position with occasional lifting.
    • Ability to handle fast-paced environments.
