- Assists in developing and implementing strategies related to labor relations within the company.
- Research and Analysis: Conducts research on labor market trends, union activities, and relevant legal regulations to inform labor relations strategies.
- Develops Communication Materials: Creates communication materials, such as newsletters, updates, and presentations, to effectively communicate labor relations strategies and initiatives to internal stakeholders.
- Provides Strategic Advice: Offers strategic advice and recommendations to HR manager and leaders on labor relations issues, including labor disputes, union organizing efforts, and contract negotiations.
- Monitors Compliance: Monitors compliance with labor laws and regulations and recommends corrective action as needed.
- Assists in Conflict Resolution: Supports efforts to resolve labor disputes and grievances through mediation, arbitration, or other conflict resolution methods.
- Builds Relationships: Builds positive relationships with labor union representatives, management, and employees to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Assists with Training Programs: Collaborates with and assists the Learning and Development Specialist in the development and delivery of training programs for managers and supervisors on labor relations principles, conflict resolution techniques, and effective employee relations practices.
- Data Management: Maintains accurate records and databases related to labor relations activities, including grievances, negotiations, and proceedings.
- Stays Updated: Stays informed about developments in labor relations practices, industry trends, and changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure strategies remain relevant and effective.
- Reporting: Reports labor relations information, reports, and strategies to HQ.
- Travel: Up to 25% of Travel as business trips to different SDI related factories

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
0 to 3 + years of direct experience in labor relations within a union manufacturing environment over multiple states.
Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience developing and implementing Labor Relations strategies.
Experience in conducting, analyzing, and reporting employee engagement surveys to identify areas of improvement.
Experience in multi-cultural environments.
EDUCATION
Degree Level: Bachelors
Field: Human Resources, Industrial and Labor Relations, Psychology or related fields.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bilingual Korean
Knowledge of labor laws and regulations including understanding of NLRA, FLSA, and other relevant legislation.
Strong analytical skills; ability to conduct research and assess labor market trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, management, employees, and union members.
Basic negotiation skills
