    Description

    MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS


    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a directly related field with 15 semester hours in Accounting, plus one (1) year of professional auditing experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, provided that the minimum degree requirement is met.

    Licensure, Certification or Other Qualifications

    A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required.


    Must have the permanent use of an automobile that is properly insured including a clause specifically insuring the City of Chicago from accident liability.


    SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
    This position requires applicants to complete an interview and submit a writing sample.

    The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral part of the interview and the writing sample will be selected.

    Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:


    • Previous work experience in auditing with GAAP, federal, state and city funding requirements
    • Previous work experience inputting data and verifying data for accuracy.
    • Proficiency with software applications like Microsoft Office Suite, One Drive, Teams and ISupplier
    • Previous experience analyzing information, and problem solving
