    Senior GL Staff Accountant job in Weston Florida.

    Location :
    Hybrid in Weston Florida, 33326

    Pay :
    Up to $60/hr.

    Type : 5-month contract with potential for extension

    Overview:
    Join our dynamic team at a leading provider of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software tools in Weston, FL. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GL Staff Accountant to support our finance and accounting operations. This is a contract role based in Florida, offering a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility and autonomy.


    Duties & Key Responsibilities:
    Generate ad hoc revenue and expense reports as required to support decision-making processes.
    Conduct reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
    Prepare both non-recurring and recurring journal entries on a monthly and/or quarterly basis to accurately reflect financial transactions.

    Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts on a monthly and/or quarterly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.

    Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
    Maintain and enhance existing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
    Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting.
    Public accounting experience strongly preferred, although not required.
    In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and G

    Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics considered a plus.
    Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
    Highly motivated with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
