- Translate and profiles all medication orders into HIS/PIS.
- Supervises all activated carried out by CPhT. Checks for accurate filling of al medication orders before delivery to the unit.
- Provides information to physician and other staff on availability of new drugs, warnings on currently marketed drugs and other information needed for safe administration of drugs.
- Utilized sound judgement in determining priority actions on demands for service and follows necessary safety precautions to prevent adverse events during the performance of job duties.
- Maintains awareness of current hospital and departmental operation policies and procedures which impact position responsibility.
- Alert the detection of errors in own work and the work of others with appropriate corrective actions.
Required Education and Experience
Graduate of accredited College of Pharmacy and licensed by Texas State Board of Pharmacy with at least a year in hospital experience.
