    Experience:

    • 12 months of role experience required
    • 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience needed
    • Travel experience is a must
    • Experience with Epic is essential

    Requirements:

    • Must hold a South Dakota license or compact license
    • Willingness to float across multiple units
    • Candidates residing at least 100 miles away are eligible
    • Compulsory COVID vaccination for onboarding

    Additional Details:

    Guaranteed Hours: 48

    ICU experience is highly preferred, especially excluding travel experience

    Patient Types: Various complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. Conditions range from ARDS to post-surgical and heavy trauma cases. Cardiac experience is a bonus but not mandatory.

    Required Education: Completion of an approved nursing education program

    Required Skills: Proficiency with specified patient types, IV medications, hemodynamic lines, ventilator management, and more. Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills are vital.

    Floating: Occasional floating may be required to adult floors, depending on staffing levels.

    Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other weekend, with holiday and Sturgis Bike Rally blackouts. Navy scrub color required.

    Monument Health has specific blackout dates for time-off requests. Ensure your availability aligns with their start date preferences for better chances.

    Expect an interview call from a representative with a 501 or 605 area code.

    Maximum of 7 days off, with 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references needed.

    Proof of identification and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC are mandatory.
