    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Shodair is looking to add an Admissions Specialist to our patient access team The Admissions Specialist facilitates entry into all Inpatient Shodair Psychiatric Programs. Admissions Specialist gathers clinical information from a variety of resources to help providers determine clinical necessity for mental health treatment and establish new clients on an appropriate treatment team based on level of care and diagnosis.

    The ideal candidate is someone who:

    • Is detailed-oriented
    • Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Has great customer service skills
    • Has conflict resolution skills

    Requirements:

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE;

    • Minimum qualifications include 2+ years' experience working in mental health or customer service-related industry. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing or related field preferred.
    • Working knowledge of regulatory and survey standards as it pertains to Medicaid, and private pay for clinical services.
    • Superior interpersonal skills, phone presence, and adept at building strong working relationships
    • Key analytical abilities to collect, analyze, and use admissions data to communicate effectively with stake holders.
