Abrigo is on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to contribute to safeguarding our cloud-based systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate with seasoned engineers to enforce and manage security measures, perform security evaluations, and address security incidents.

    Candidates have the option to work remotely or in a hybrid setup from either our Raleigh, NC, or Austin, TX office locations.

    What You'll Be Responsible For:

    • Help design, implement, and uphold security controls for cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
    • Learn to create and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures specific to cloud environments.
    • Aid in executing security assessments and audits to pinpoint vulnerabilities and risks.
    • Work closely with development and operations teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Stay informed about the latest trends, threats, and technologies in Cloud Security.
    • Manage Vulnerability Management Platform & CSPM Platform.
    • Ensure consistency in inventory across patch management, vulnerability management, and asset management systems.
    • Record Risk Findings from internal and external assessments and relevant publications.
    • Provide regular updates on remediation project status to management and IT Risk Department.
    • Coordinate application penetration testing and subsequent remediation steps.
    • Maintain asset inventory within Patch, Vulnerability, and CSPM systems.
    • Team up with Cloud Security Engineer and Cloud Security Architect to implement controls via IaC.
    • Handle patch deployment and validation for corporate assets.

    Qualifications:

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Possess basic knowledge of cloud computing principles and technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP.
    • Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, IAM, Firewall Manager, Event Bridge, Lambda.
    • Foundational understanding of Python and/or other programming languages.
    • Basic grasp of scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
    • Knowledge of security tools and technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP.
    • Understanding of security standards and frameworks like FFIEC, NIST, CSA.
    • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Enjoy collaborative teamwork with the ability to work independently.
    • Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CCSP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) will be advantageous.
