Programmatic Activities

The Conference Coordinator's activities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Speaker Management: Acting as the point of contact for speakers, inviting them, managing their schedules, and ensuring they have the necessary resources. Arranging for speakers' preparation and staging. Tracking speakers' accessibility needs and coordinating with accessibility services, including pre-conference collection of presentations. Coordinating finalized conference materials for printing and posting (in various formats) and for distribution to staff, volunteers, A/V, and accessibility services
Vendor Relations: Coordinating with vendors for services such as A/V and accessibility.
Marketing and Promotion: Work with the Marketing Team to promote the conference and speakers and increase attendance. Assisting in creating and distributing promotional materials and social media outreach, maintaining agenda and speakers' web pages on conference websites and virtual platforms, and overseeing the accuracy of the content on e-news, social media, backdrop visuals, Conference Official Program, and signage.
Registration: Overseeing the speakers' registration process and ensuring a positive experience.
Logistical Support: Provide on-site coordination (floor management for conference sessions) during the October 15-17 event, address issues, and manage the post-conference wrap-up.

Reports to the Conference Program Director or the VP of Institutional Advisory Division.

The Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs (G3ict) is a not-for-profit house in Atlanta, Georgia. G3ict is an advocacy initiative launched in December 2006 by the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development to support the implications of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The M-Enabling Summit is the annual conference and showcase of the Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies (G3ict), held in Washington, DC, to promote accessible technologies and environments for persons with disabilities and older persons. The M-Enabling Summit has established itself as the leading global conference. It showcases the fast-moving technology innovations that enable persons with disabilities and older persons to access digital content and services in new ways.

The Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs (G3ict) seeks a Conference Program Coordinator to handle a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth execution of its annual conference, the M-Enabling Summit, with the following qualifications and experience:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
Problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Experience with coordinating with speakers, vendors, and attendees.
Previous experience in conference execution is required.
A degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations preferred.
Social media engagement engagement perferred.
Development of speaker infographics a plus.
Team player with a good attitude. Valuing cultural differences and diversity.
Familiarity with event accessibility for individuals with a disability is beneficial.

Status and Compensation

Part-time to full-time temporary consultancy basis.
The Consultant will be expected to work 40 per week, three months before the event.
Contract Salary is $4,166.93 monthly based on 40 hours a week.
The consultant is required to have a laptop, Wi-Fi, and Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
Mandatory attendance in Washington, DC, during the event dates (October
The consultant will use toggle to track time spent on tasks.
Work location: Remotely.
Mandated weekly phone call(s) with Conference Organizers.
Consultant duties will be agreed upon between Candidate and G3ict before finalizing the consulting agreement.
