- Performs corrective & preventative maintenance on building envelopes, interiors, furniture.
- Works with local contractors, obtaining estimates, monitoring job performance and safety. Advises management of known maintenance deficiencies and provides practical solutions for remediation.
- Other general maintenance duties as assigned.
- Provides training and mentoring to others in the maintenance of building envelopes, interiors, furniture, and its components. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Provides general clean up, housekeeping, and maintenance of mechanical spaces.
- Utilizes CMMS to track and preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and create work orders. Provide detailed written and oral reports/presentations on building envelopes, interiors, furniture, and daily pass down logs for internal use along. Develops new and improves existing SOPs to effectively document processes and procedures.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Able to complete applicable lead and asbestos awareness and handling training.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in general institutional or industrial setting performing relevant Building Trades.
- Proven success in working in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and in writing to clearly exchange information with people representing a wide diversity of disciplines and levels of sophistication.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage details accurately.
- Detail oriented with exemplary time management and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated team player.
- Demonstrated positive attitude and professional manner in all interactions; demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Able to operate Windows based computers for basic administrative tasks such as email correspondence, time keeping and basic internet research.
