PAGE TERRACE BEACHFRONT HOTEL JOB TITLE:
General Maintenance Technician

Compensation:
$18-$20 Hourly


Benefits Offered:
Medical, Retirement (full time status)

Employment Type:
Full-Time (40 hours a week with potential for overtime) or Part Time (24 hours)


Must pass background screening, submit a resume, and be available for drug screening.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Page Terrace Beachfront Hotel in Treasure Island, FL is currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and confident Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will use professionalism, communication skills, be detail oriented and self motivated. Maintenance Technician must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and working area per hotel standards.

Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Have a working knowledge in maintaining pool cleanliness with assistance from pool service that attends to pool 3x a week.
• Assists Housekeeping with Daily Functions
• Maintains the cleanliness of property as needed and/or assigned to prevent damage and/or limit liability exposure. This includes daily sweeping of the parking lot and patio/pool area, readjusting furniture, daily cleaning of the pool, as well as garbage collection and disposal.
• Repairs daily maintenance concerns with a positive attitude.
• Performs preventative maintenance functions around property including but not limited to painting and repairing guest rooms including furniture, kitchen units and bathrooms, safes, ACs, TVs, common areas, BBQ grill, patio and pool area and landscaping.
• Maintains, repairs, and replaces mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Travels to home improvement stores for the purpose of purchasing supplies to perform duties in an efficient and effective manner.
• Provides information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities and responds to their requests.
• Ensure the security of assigned keys.
• Ability to work the days Monday-Saturday. Work hours are generally 7am3pm
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. (including heavy lifting of luggage up 2 flights of stairs and laundry)
• Bending
• Open to learning new skills through training and courses.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs
• Verbal English communication skills are required

Experience

• Previous building maintenance experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
• Knowledge of proper use of hand tools and major power tools

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
