    Job Overview

    Join our team as a Senior Manager in OCI Incident Response at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As part of a globally distributed team, you will play a key role in detecting, triaging, and mitigating service-impacting events in OCI quickly and effectively.

    At OCI Incident Response, we are dedicated to minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability of OCI services through top-notch incident management and robust system operation practices. You will work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment, responding swiftly to any issues to safeguard our customers' experience. This position offers you the chance to collaborate with leaders across Oracle, driving initiatives to enhance service availability across OCI.

    Responsibilities

    • Providing leadership in responding to major incidents and serving as the primary point of contact for escalation.
    • Generating reports and metrics for progress tracking and goal setting.
    • Owning the incident notification process to keep stakeholders informed during and after incidents.
    • Collaborating with teams to address problems and manage requests across multiple locations.
    • Identifying opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
    • Recruiting, hiring, and developing top incident management talent.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of cloud operations people-management experience.
    • Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure technologies.
    • Strong technical troubleshooting skills across various infrastructure components.
    • Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with trouble ticketing systems and modern programming languages.
    • Proven track record in delivering scalable systems in an agile environment.
    • Familiarity with Agile project management and software engineering best practices.
    • Ability to work on a global shift rotation basis.
    • Effective in training others on new processes and information.
