    Description

    Role: Project Manager

    Client: Large telecom client

    Duration: 6mo+

    Location: Hybrid 3x a wk onsite in Charlotte, NC

    Description:

    Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. Develops project plan and drives project milestones. Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources. Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation, status reports and budgets. Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills. Specialized knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word years of experience.

    Day to day:

    • Put scope together for project management team, build process documentation for other teams – document for future use
    • Decommissions - EX: Finding power/space - see what they have room for, what they can move, what they need to get rid of or add
    • Customer meetings for those that put the assets in
    • Knowledge of a Data center, network, they will be reaching out to what team owns the asset and dig further into the issue or what the customer goal is
    • Cherwell – ticketing systems
    • Hardware – asset management tool to pull devices older than 5/10 years, find owners/list, document for scope, reaching out to owners to investigate old applications and servers to determine their current usage, storage and memory, decom/migrate
    • Creating report and scope, build a process around that

    Top requirements:

    • PM skills (IT years
    • General IT knowledge – data center
    • Strong Excel experience - tracking, reporting, documentation
