    Description

    Job Description Data Quality Automation & Governance Technical writer position

    Job Role: Data Quality Automation & Governance Technical writer.

    Location: Minneapolis, MN.

    Duration: Long Term.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    1. Documentation Development: Develop clear, comprehensive, and well-structured documentation for data quality standards, policies, procedures, and best practices. This includes writing user guides, technical specifications, and process documentation to support data governance and data quality initiatives.

    2. Data Quality Automation Documentation: Create technical documentation for data quality automation tools, frameworks, and solutions. This involves documenting installation procedures, configuration settings, usage instructions, troubleshooting tips, and best practices for implementing and maintaining data quality automation processes.

    3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, review documentation drafts, and incorporate feedback to ensure accuracy, completeness, and relevance of documentation.

    4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve data quality automation and governance processes through documentation enhancements, automation tools, and process optimizations. This includes documenting workflow diagrams, decision trees, and process flows to illustrate data quality processes and dependencies.

    5. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate users and stakeholders on data quality standards, governance processes, and automation tools. This involves creating training manuals, slide decks, and interactive tutorials to facilitate knowledge transfer and adoption of data quality best practices.

    6. Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines. This includes conducting quality assurance reviews of documentation deliverables to ensure they meet the needs of the target audience and support the objectives of the data quality automation and governance program.

    7. Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and update existing documentation as needed to reflect changes in data quality standards, governance policies, automation processes, and tooling updates. This involves version control, document tracking, and documentation lifecycle management to ensure documentation remains current and relevant.

    8. Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

    9. Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, and SharePoint.

    10. Knowledge of data management platforms and technologies, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and master data management (MDM) systems.
