- Weekly participant outreach to assigned caseload.
- Support the participant in achieving work attendance goals, employer policies, and reinforcement of GPEAK and Workforce Readiness competencies.
- Develop strategies to assist participants that are first time employment candidates as well as return to work candidates to be successful during the first 12 months of employment.
- Serve as a liaison between the participant and their assigned community service providers.
- Provide ongoing case management for first year of employment by documenting needs of the participant, assessing their achievement of goals and action plans.
- Identify any necessary supportive services that the participant needs to overcome barriers during first year of employment.
- Ensure participant receives the needed services to achieve on the job success by identifying additional training needs.
- Provide information for participant tracking that is required within the Good Jobs Challenge grant.
- Work closely with the Manager - Community Outreach IT Accelerator Grant to ensure participants are receiving needed services.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Associates degree or certification in social work, or related work experience in vocational services, social services, and/or assisting in at risk populations.
- Strong prioritization, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with community-based organizations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with diverse individuals and businesses.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Summary
The IT Accelerator Grant Job Coach is primarily responsible for working with program participants who have been hired for a specific job for the first 12 months of employment. The Job Coach will do weekly participant outreach for their assigned caseload to assure the participant has the support in their new position to achieve successful performance evaluations. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills likely with experience in working with underserved populations. This position may require some limited evening and weekend work hours.
This position is part of the IT Accelerator Grant with an end date of 05/31/2025.
