Illinois Central College (ICC) is a community college located in the greater Peoria area. The college opened its doors 1967 to more than 2,000 students. Today the college annually serves more than 13,000 students and offers more than 1,500 classes per semester. As an open access college, ICC welcomes any student who is willing to learn. ICC's mission is: Illinois Central College cultivates student learning and enriches the community by offering an exceptional educational experience rooted in accessibility, belonging, ICC offers 55 programs of study leading to an Associate in Arts or Science degree; 52 programs of study leading to an Associate Degree in Applied Science; and 61 programs leading to occupational certificates. ICC serves 10 central Illinois counties, with most students residing in Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties. The community college district (514) covers 2,322 square miles. Illinois Central College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of College and Schools.
