    What You Can Expect Working in the HVAC Technician Position

    The HVAC Technician works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and installs and inspects heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and installations in blast-resistant buildings, and other industrial buildings, in compliance with safety laws and regulations. As an HVAC Technician, you play a key role in supporting RedGuard's commitment to delivering high-quality products on time.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assembles HVAC units and condensers
    • Performs preventive maintenance of equipment
    • Reviews production orders or schedules
    • Resolves manufacturing problems
    • Inspects machines and equipment
    • Keeps records and prepares reports
    • Cross-trains in multiple stages of manufacturing
    • Follows safety rules and maintains a clean work environment

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • HVAC or EPA Certification
    • 5+ years of HVAC experience
    • Thorough understanding of HVAC tools, materials, operation, maintenance, and repair
    • Knowledge of mechanical practices and codes
    • Ability to use hand tools and read technical drawings
    • Ability to diagnose and maintain HVAC systems
    • Basic computer skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Journeyman HVAC/R License

    Work Environment:

    The job involves heavy work and prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. Manual dexterity, balance, and hand-eye coordination are important. Workers operate machinery and power tools and must work in various weather conditions.
