Description
We are looking for a Controller with NetSuite experience This is a fantastic role in the Portland area only requiring one day a week in the office.
This position is the #1 position at a very cool consumer products company It manages the Finance, GL Accounting, AR, and AP.
Wonderful team and cultureESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Responsible for overall accuracy and oversight of accounting and finance functions.
Monitor and record banking cash and investment account balances, record any sweep activity between accounts.
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with GAAP, paying strict attention to timing and cutoff issues.
Develop new supporting schedules, report formats or modify existing reports as needed to track margin by order, by customer, and by product line, and drive overall improvements to profitability
Provide credit management functions such as credit review and approval for new accounts and assignment of terms when initiated by Customer Success Associate.
Monitor AR Aging and ensure regular collections communications are regularly happening as assigned, when necessary placing accounts on-hold, taking accounts off-hold, and following the company Credit and Collections Policy guidelines.
Work with Executive Team when account is determined uncollectible and sent to collections.
Oversee system tax settings in NetSuite for Customer and Item, as well as maintain current Avalara tax settings to support timely and accurate tax reporting and payment at the state level for identified sales and use taxes.
Identify opportunities, present recommendations and implement processes and controls that will enhance the effectiveness of the Company's financial transactions and reporting.
This includes but is not limited to process improvements, technology enhancements with a coordinated IT strategy, change management, and employee training.
