- Supports the innovation of the design and building process to identify financial growth opportunities
- Work with accounting team on day-to-day operations, audit transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables, job costings and payroll
- Maintain and perform skilled reviews of Work in Progress reporting and revenue recognition
- Extract data from the accounting software to provide detailed and relevant reports
- Prepare and process financial statements with external partners for regulatory reporting, such as the CPA, Banks, and Insurance agencies.
- Oversee and executive month-end close activities in collaboration with Accounting Manager
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, ratios and trend analysis
- Manage tax planning, property sales and asset management
- Oversee monthly general ledger entries and account reviews and reconciliations
- Assure compliance and establish internal controls and policies
- Collaborate with the CFO, CEO and COO on company's financial strategy and planning
- Collaborate with the Design and Build teams on best practices related to accounting functions
- 4 Year Degree in Accounting from an Accredited institution
- 5+ Years of experience in finance management, ideally in construction industry
- Experience leading a staff of accounting professionals
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software (preferably Viewpoint/Vista/Trimble)
- Familiar with construction processes in relation to project set-up, change orders, billing and closeout
- Service oriented; driven to provide excellent service throughout the organization
- Skilled ability to manage tasks and conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deadlines
