Director of Services

Full-time position
Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm

An employee in this position would be responsible for the oversight of all employment and residential programs, ensuring efficient operations, staff management, and program compliance.

This role involves strategic planning, staff development, and fostering community partnerships to enhance employment opportunities and independent living for individuals with disabilities.

Essential Functions:
Under the direction and supervision of the COO/CEO, examples of specific duties and responsibilities would include, but not necessarily be limited to:
Lead agency planning and develop annual division achievement plans to meet organizational goals.
Identify training needs and facilitate staff development programs within the Employment Division.
Develop individual vocational goals and ensure program operations comply with funding requirements and service plans.
Maintain compliance with accreditation, funding, and federal, and state regulations.
Expand employment opportunities and oversee program documentation for payment requirements.
Manage contract/production operations and budgets while expanding customer base and sales volume.
Support community employment initiatives through discovery, business contracts, placement, and training.
Directly manage contract/production areas and community employment sites, ensuring quality and compliance.
Provide technical assistance and resolve quality issues across various work settings and locations.
Plan, implement, and evaluate independent living skill assessment and training programs for residential clients.
Recruit, supervise, and evaluate residential staff while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
Design individual client training programs and maintain necessary records and reports.
Develop scheduling procedures to maintain staff-to-client ratios and oversee residential facility maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred:
Master's Degree

Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in business or human service field
5 year of previous experience with developmental disabilities in a similar setting

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of work behaviors, performance, and modification techniques.
Strong leadership and supervision skills to motivate staff toward program goals.
Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of developmental disabilities and teaching/training techniques.
Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate complex administrative duties.
Proficiency in data preparation and reporting, with professional competency.
Aptitude for representing the agency in inter-agency meetings and public communication.
