    As an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to conducting Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) assessments of US Navy shipboard systems.

    We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to conduct EMP problem investigation, characterization, quantification and engineering of fixes.

    These skills will allow you to provide programmatic and technical advice in support of the assessment of US Navy systems for compliance with EMP survivability requirements.

    You Have:

    7 years of experience in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP), Electronic Environmental Effects (E3), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Vulnerability (EMV), E3 Computation and Modeling, or EMP Naval Ordnance
    Experience developing and validating Electromagnetic (EM) survivability requirements for electrical and electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects, and structures
    Experience in Pulsed Power, High Voltage pulser and pulse forming networks
    Experience testing at a variety of EMC, EMV, and EMP test facilities and capabilities including Mode Stirred chamber, Horizontally Polarized, Vertically Polarized, and Bonded Wave simulators
    Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Naval Architecture
    Ability to collect test data, conduct detailed analysis, and complete desktop and on-site assessments of shipboard status, provide risk to mission analysis and dependency analysis, develop technical and operational conclusions, and write technical reports that meet Sponsor requirements
    HS diploma or GED

    Experience in EMP assessments of US Navy shipboard systems
    TS/SCI clearance
    Bachelors Degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical field

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

    The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166, annualized USD).

    The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
