    Description
    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Position is responsible for providing first and second level technical support for all IT incidents and requests. They will serve as the primary interface between IT and the employees and will receive, prioritize, document, and resolves or escalate requests.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
    • Record, categorize and prioritize inbound service requests and incidents, escalating when required. Document and record all relevant information.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with all enforcement hardware and software (included but not limited to: LPR, handhelds, and printers)
    • Liaison between the Authority and vendors as needed for hardware and software related issues.
    • Perform basic system administration, including user and group management, file system management, and process monitoring.
    • Assist with the remediation of system vulnerabilities and compliance.
    • Serves as a secondary to the System Administrator as a resource to assist with computer, network, software, hardware, and related problems.
    • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned or required
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or 3+ years of proven experience in an IT support role.
    • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
    • Prior experience with VMware and Office 365 administration is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of system administration and infrastructure.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Desire to grow and learn new technologies.
    SPECIAL CERTIFICATES and LICENSES:

    Must possess and maintain a current and valid Class C Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operator's Driver's License throughout employment.

    BACKGROUND CHECK:

    Successful completion of a background and MVR check is required.

    OTHER:

    Must show proof of City of Pittsburgh residency prior to or at time of hire and remain a City resident throughout employment.
