Quantico, VA, and surrounding area


_Position Description_

As a Field Support Specialist, you will be expected to assist the field engineers during demonstration, testing and training events for the GBAD Engineering and Logistics project.

Position will need to secure, setup, maintain, and tear down test and training sites. Support test and engineering events with Test Incident Reports (TIRs) and participate in Technical Review Boards (TRBs) as required.


_Responsibilities_

  • Perform security and access control of test and training sites to ensure only authorized personnel gain access and that all visitors are recorded in the visitor's logbook
  • Conduct site surveys of proposed test and training locations to determine site and security service requirements
  • Conduct inventory control of equipment by serial number to ensure all incoming and outgoing system, training and test equipment is recorded in the equipment logbook
  • Coordinate with the systems administrator to ensure LAN with Internet access and printing capability for events is installed
  • Arrange for material handling equipment for offloading, loading, and movement of test and training equipment
  • Set up and operate test equipment power generation and distribution, and environmental control equipment

_ Minimum Qualifications_

  • Licensed driver able to load, unload, drive, and transport government owned, tactical vehicles (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, HMMWVs, ULTV)
  • 5 or more years' experience in a related field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams and Outlook.

_ Desired Qualifications_

  • Related maintenance, operator, handling certification(s)

_ Security Clearance Requirements_
This position requires an Active SECRET security clearance.
