- Develop exploits and build mission-aligned proof-of-concept capabilities
- Collaborate with government sponsors and operators to ensure that capabilities can be deployed within operational constraints
- Explore novel techniques for automating reverse engineering and exploit development
- Propose groundbreaking ideas for internal and external funding opportunities
- Share knowledge by clearly articulating ideas through papers and presentations to team members, APL management, and government decision makers
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Have at least 2 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Are a versatile programmer in several different languages including C/C++ and Python
- Are excited to learn new programming languages, libraries, and frameworks
- Are self-motivated to derive actionable tasks from high-level requirements and/or research concepts
- Are proficient in modern software engineering practices (agile methods, continuous integration, unit testing, and version control)
- Have interest in learning reverse engineering (RE) skills to support RE efforts and RE automation
- Are willing to work with legacy systems and technology if needed
- Hold an active TS/SCI+poly security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

- Have experience with embedded systems development toolchains
- Are familiar with reading and writing assembly
- Are experienced with software debuggers and static analysis tools
