    Full Job Description:

    Walker Automotive is looking for someone to fill our General Accounting Clerk role. The main job responsibilities of this position include:

    • Prepares financial reports and various accounting statements.
    • Posts journal entries to general ledger.
    • Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
    • Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
    • Attends department meetings as necessary.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma, and previous accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Physical Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
    • High stress tolerance -- thrives in a high-pressure environment

    Job Type: Full-time

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

    Pay: Semimonthly - * Pay is based on experience
