    MJ seeks an experienced Special Systems Design Engineer specialized in facilities communications, technology and security systems design layout to serve our Airport clients as we expand and grow in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

    Successful candidate should be aspiring to become a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), technically well-versed with 5 + years of progressive special systems design experience with building and technology systems in the A/E/C field.

    Responsibilities include providing a high quality product and superior client service through:
    • Coordinating and developing technical special systems design plans, drawings, specifications, and layout from project kickoff to punch list, ensuring delivery of projects are on time and within budget.
    • Attending meetings and successfully coordinating design with other disciplines, client representatives, architects and/or building managers.
    • Interpreting and assuring compliance with all federal, state & local codes.
    • Adhering to QA/QC process to maintain high quality and uniform standards.
    • Assisting with business development, client management and proposal development.
    Desired Skills and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certificate required, with Professional Engineer licensure or equivalent industry certification preferred.
    • Solid technical background, 5+ years of ICT, Security and or Communications engineering experience.
    • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT and MS Office.
    • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team, develop and maintain client relations, meet project demands and schedules.
