PCU RN Job Details – Wisconsin Healthcare Jobs

• Assignment Length: 8-week travel nursing contract
  
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
  
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down Unit (44 beds)
  
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990 - $2,130
  
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
  
• Float: May float to all inpatient units as needed
  
• Scrub Colors: Any color
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications – PCU Travel Nursing Jobs

• Active Wisconsin RN license required
  
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac nursing experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, Cardiac ICU)
  
• Minimum 2 years of IMC, PCU, or Telemetry experience
  
• Proficient with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
  
• At least one completed travel nurse assignment
  
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience
  
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  

PCU RN Responsibilities – Cardiac Telemetry Nursing Jobs

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow (detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, Fem Pop Bypass)
  
• Manage a patient ratio typically 1:4 in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
  
• Float to other inpatient units as needed
  
• Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strong independent time management
  
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation
  
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
