    ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

    Job Details:


    • Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

    • 48 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract

    • Every other weekend and every other holiday required

    • Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units

    • Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum call back

    • Patient ratio of 4:1

    • Care for patients with heavy telemetry monitoring, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleeds, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injuries, and strokes

    • Manage primary patients and insulin drips

    • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility

    • 2+ years experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory

    • ICU experience and Trauma Level II experience preferred

    • Ventilator/trach experience required

    • At least 1 prior travel experience required

    • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS

    • EPIC charting experience preferred

    • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

    • Any color scrubs permitted

    • Fast-paced environment requiring independent work and timely task completion

The facility features advanced telemetry monitoring capabilities and provides comprehensive care for patients requiring intermediate-level medical intervention. The unit maintains high standards for patient care with specialized equipment for ventilator management, trauma care, and various medical procedures, serving as an important bridge between general medical floors and intensive care units.
