    Description

    We are looking for a Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA to join our team at a top-notch healthcare facility in Houston, TX

    • Duration of the contract: 1 to 3 years
    • Employment type: W2 with benefits package available

    Working Hours:

    The role involves providing nurse anesthesia services round the clock, all week long. The work schedule varies according to department requirements, covering both regular and irregular shifts.

    • 8-Hour Shift: Day (6:00 AM - 3:15 PM), Evening (11:00 PM - 7:30 PM)
    • 10-Hour Shift: Day (6:00 AM - 5:15 PM), Evening (11:00 PM - 9:30 PM)
    • 12-Hour Shift: Day (6:00 AM - 7:15 PM), Evening (11:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

    Overview:

    A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a highly skilled healthcare professional who delivers exceptional anesthesia and pain care services independently and in collaboration with other medical experts. CNRAs offer evidence-based, quality healthcare solutions to patients of all ages, covering a wide range of procedures including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments of patients.
    • Request and review necessary laboratory/diagnostic tests in line with state regulations.
    • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia procedures.
    • Create and execute anesthesia care plans.
    • Prepare, select, and utilize necessary equipment, drugs, and supplies for anesthesia and pain management.
    • Administer anesthesia, analgesics, adjuvant drugs, and fluids as required.
    • Handle airway management, including fiberoptic intubation.
    • Assist patients in recovery post-anesthesia, administering medications and fluids as necessary.
    • Provide cardiovascular and respiratory support during the post-anesthesia period.
    • Assess patient reactions to surgery and anesthesia, intervening when needed.

    Requirements:

    • Active state RN licensure.
    • Graduate from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
    • CRNA certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
    • Medical malpractice insurance coverage.
    • Demonstrated clinical competency.
    • At least two years' experience as a CRNA.
    • Completion of AANA-approved nurse anesthesia educational program.
    • Valid and active professional nursing license.
