- Engage in an average of 2 hours of milieu management and active therapeutic intervention.
- Handle crisis management situations effectively.
- Develop treatment plans and offer consultations with the team.
- Carry out screenings, assessments, and necessary documentation.
- Contribute to program development and improvements.
- Completed 12 hours of co-occurring education.
- Attained a minimum of 30 hours of coursework or equivalent in adolescent development.
- Accumulated 150 hours of supervised experience as an adolescent counselor.
- Possess Basic Life Support and First Aid certificates.
- Must hold a current and active LADC license.

Welcome to MHealth Fairview where we offer comprehensive treatment modalities for adolescents facing mental health and substance use challenges. One of our specialized programs, the Adolescent Residential Program in Maplewood, MN, provides 24/7 co-occurring mental health and substance use services to individuals aged 12-19 within a residential setting.
As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor in this program, you play a crucial role in the treatment team by offering various psychotherapeutic interventions such as individual therapy, family therapy, group counseling, case management, mental health assessment, crisis intervention, skill building, and patient advocacy. You'll collaborate with a diverse team including nurses, psychiatric associates, chaplains, and other counseling professionals, contributing to a holistic approach to treatment.
